DISCLAIMER: These are all of my own thoughts based on my research on the ingredients listed on the bottle of Klorane's Dry Shampoo. I used http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/guide/all/ and https://www.ewg.org/skindeep/ as my base guides to test the toxicity of the ingredients. Other than 1 ingredient (Hexyl Cinnamal, which rates at "moderately hazardous" on EWG), the rest rate as "low" in terms of toxicity. These are my views only and are not associated with Klorane. As I do not profess to have a specialization in toxicology or bio-science, I take no responsibility for any adverse reactions you might have in attempting to try the 3 different ways of using the dry shampoo which do not involve using it on your hair. That being said, I have used this several times and I am still alive and physically very healthy (though a bit chubby, TOTALLY unrelated but I thought I would just throw it out there!).
1. It's a GREAT styling product - 它帮助我风格我的头发
Besides being a great dry shampoo, Klorane has helped me out in several ways when it comes to styling my hair. I really do not like hair spray. No offense to hair spray fans, but it just reminds me of my mother. The smell. Yucks.
So, I generally, use dry shampoo to help me achieve the styles I want. It's a great volumiser. Helps with back combing and even better un-combing the back comb is less painful than using hair spray. I use it when I do fishtail braids and normal braids. I also use it when I'm doing a donut bun.
One other way I discovered that I could use it when searching on the web is that it helps lock curls in place. As it absorbs the natural oils that get generated during the day, it helps the curls stay bouncy.
2. It keep hair accessories in place - 它让发饰到位
Ever find it irritating when your favorite hair accessories keep slipping out of place? Like that US$30 pony tail holder you bought on impulse while shopping in Hawaii?? Spray a little Klorane Dry shampoo on your hair pins and hair ties and it will help keep them from slipping around.
3. Turns your fave glossy lipstick matte - 改变你的口红了从光泽变成磨砂的
This is where it gets off the hair (haha so corny). Sick of having that same glossy look to your favorite coloured lipstick and you can't hunt down a matte version or you don't want to spend the extra cash? This is where dry shampoo comes in really handy. Spray some onto a flat eye shadow brush and wait for it to dry, then pat it lightly onto your applied lipstick and wah lah! Instant matte lips in your favourite colour!
4. A Makeup Setting Spray - 帮助你的妆容持续更长的时间
Okay, you might be very skeptical about this, but it works. There are three types of Klorane Dry shampoos. Two are the normal ones but in light and brunette shades and one specifically for oily hair. If you have oily skin, you know how irritating it is to have to keep blotting or adding more powder (which is always a horrible look). I thought of this idea when I came across a Korean beauty product which is a liquid powder setting spray, i.e. it sets to a fine powder on the skin.
You can either just jump right into it and spray it onto your face in a "T" then "X" motion, or you can spray it onto a powder puff/cotton pad first and then pat it on. Depending on your skin tone, you might have to let it sit for a while and then dust off the access. Think of it as Ben Nye or RCMA's setting powder in spray can. So handy!
5. As an Antiperspirant - 防汗药
Besides the obvious place(s) that you might use an antiperspirant, I've found it extremely useful when I get nervous. Huh? Nervous?? Well, I might get nervous if I'm talking at a seminar or if I'm going on a hot date (yes, the hubby still gives me butterflies in my tum tum). So, I'll spray a bit on my sweaty palms and sweaty feet (and for extra measure into my shoes) and I can feel confident. You won't be seeing me speaking at a seminar with my notes starting to flop over with nervous sweat!
SO... what do you think? Are you game to try these 5 different ways or do you have more ideas? Drop me a line! Oh and don't forget to enter my Klorane Giveaway on my Instagram!
