Review of Face Base Products by Lanolips

Welcome! A few months ago, I had the blessed opportunity to attend a press event where Lanolips (famous for its luscious lip products) launched three face products under the "Face Base" Collection. I've had ample time to test the products for this review of Lanolips Face Base Products, so I hope you find it helpful!

These products were gifted to me for my consideration.

我最喜欢的产品是“THE AUSSIE FLYER LEAVE-ON RECOVERY MASK". 面膜可以在晚上使用,以达到最佳的保湿效果。 你甚至不需要在早上洗掉它。 只需按摩它到你的皮肤。

For the purposes of my review of Lanolips Face Base products, my skin type is oily dehydrated. I also have a fairly noticeable chemical burn on my face which is healing well and acts as a "barometer" for products that are meant to be gentle. The Face Base collection is made for "normal, dry and sensitive" skin.

All of #lanolips products are free from ARTIFICIAL FRAGRANCES, PARABENS, PETROLATUM, PEG'S, MINERAL OIL, OR SULFATES. They do not do animal testing and they are all made in Australia.

You can purchase these from Sephora and Mecca. Each one is priced reasonably at A$24 - A$26.

Lanolips Face Base Gel Cream Cleanser

The Lanolips Face Base Gel Cream Cleanser has quite an interesting texture. It looks like gel, but on contact with water, it emulsifies into a more creamy texture. I've used it by first putting some on my hands, wetting it and then applying it on my dry face. This way, it seems to remove quite a fair bit of my makeup. They do recommend that if you have heavy duty makeup on, to wash your face twice with this product.

It is enriched with Australian Lanolin and very soothing and hydrating. I felt that it definitely qualified as a "gentle cleanser" as it did not irritate the chemical burn on my face. In fact, this was my "go-to" cleanser when my face felt particularly sensitive.

To keep in mind that this is a gentle cleanser and if you are using heavy duty makeup, you might have to wash your face twice with it. Otherwise, as a daily cleanser, I felt it did the job. I didn't get any blemishes from it and my face felt good.

It does have a bit of a fragrance. It smelt a bit like cucumbers and of course lanolin to me.

Ingredients (active ingredients are lanolin and glycerin):

Water*, disodium laureth sulphosuccinate*, decyl glucoside*, glycerin*, acrylates copolymer, lauryl glucoside*, cocamidopropyl betaine*, polyquaternium-7*, betaine*, glycol stearate*, fragrance (natural)*, phenoxyethanol, caprylyl glycol*, sodium hydroxide*, ethylhexylglycerin, polyquaternium-10*, tetrasodium EDTA, lanolin oil* *95% naturally derived/dérivé naturellement

Lanolips Face Base Vitamin E Day Cream

Yup, it is creamy. CREAMY and yummy. I liked the edition of Vitamin E, which is known for its healing properties. I reached for this on almost a daily basis. It has a gentle fragrance to it. Much like lanolin which is one of the active ingredients.

It does take a bit of time to absorb into the skin, but I wasn't too bothered by that. Just seconds really. Some might find it thick, but I found the texture to be good. It absorbed particularly fast into my chemical burn and I would apply more for the healing effects of the Vitamin E.

When I used it as my day time moisturiser, my oily t-zone did not seem as oily as it usually is. Makeup set well on top of it and looked quite smooth. On no-makeup days, I found myself reaching for this more and more as it was very soothing.

My skin loves anything with colloidal oatmeal. This particular ingredient is especially soothing and calming. Interestingly, the ingredients also include milk powder. Milk is also very moisturising - think Milk baths. So, I do give this day cream a 5/5.

Ingredients (actives: Vitamin E; Lanolin & Colloidal Oatmeal)

Water*, lanolin*, cetearyl alcohol*, caprylic/capric triglycerides*, glyceryl stearate*, butyrospermum parkii (shea) butter*, prunus amygdalus dulcis (sweet almond) oil*, vitis vinifera (grape) seed oil*, avena sativa (oat) kernel meal*, glycerin*, sodium polyacrylate starch, phenoxyethanol, sodium stearoyl glutamate*, fragrance (natural)*, cetearyl olivate*, sorbitan olivate*, benzyl alcohol*, cetearyl glucoside*, carrageenan*, ethylhexylglycerin, milk powder*, ascorbic acid*, tocopherol (Vit E)*, citric acid* *naturally derived/dérivé naturellement

Lanolips Face Base The Aussie Flyer Leave-on Recovery Mask

Out of all of the products, I was most excited to try the #lanolipsaussieleaveonrecoverymask. I like sleeping masks. They are usually made to have a fairly thick texture and works overnight when your skin is in its rejuvenation stage.

The Lanolips Aussie Leave On Recovery Mask was designed for long haul flights and to combat jet lag. Imagine coming off the plane looking all spectacular after having used this mask. Brilliant. (secretly, I've always wanted to come off a long haul flight looking like a movie star (Angeline Jolie?) - however, that normally only happens when we get to upgrade to business class :P)

From the photo above, you can see that the texture is a bit thicker. It is not too thick - not paste-like. It is actually ultra creamy. The scent of it is very calming and smells a bit like baby goats (yes, I have held a baby goat or two and trust me, they smell heavenly). Besides, lanolin, it also includes shea butter (also ultra moisturising).

It is easy to apply and does absorb quite well into the skin initially. If you are having issues with very dry skin, I recommend really slabbing it on. Don't worry about it staining your clothes/pillow case - I slabbed it on and didn't find any issue with "staining".

I love it. It works. It works well for me. I wake up to skin that is plump and hydrated and a bit glowy but not oily. I just rinse my face in the morning and spritz on some toner.

It is such an easy and effective product to use. Extremely portable as it comes in a tube (no jars etc to worry about). At A$26, I would recommend it over other sleeping masks that I have used for packaging and formula.

Ingredients (actives lanolin, mint & coffee)

Water*, lanolin*, butrospermum parkii (shea) butter*, cetearyl alcohol*, theobroma cacao (cocoa) seed butter*, glyceryl stearate*, glycerin*, cetearyl glucoside*, cetearyl olivate*, sorbitan olivate*, phenoxyethanol, glycine soja (soybean) oil*, triticium vulgare (wheat) germ oil*, caffeine*, vitis vinifera (grape) seed oil*, xanthan gum*, tocopherol (vit E)*, potassium sorbate*, benzyl alcohol*, citric acid*, zingiber officinale (ginger) root oil*, mentha piperita (peppermint) oil*, (nat) fragrance* *naturally derived/dérivé naturellement

So, in conclusion. I did enjoy using this trio. It is designed for dry and sensitive skin, so oily skin types might not enjoy it. However, I do have oily and dehydrated skin and I still enjoyed.

So I hope you enjoyed this article and found it useful. I'm pretty much on my social media platforms in some way or fashion 7 days a week. I hope you enjoyed this review.
